Marketplace

From own stores to a common commerce ecosystem

red.bg started as a platform for own online stores, but it was created to develop to a marketplace layer and more sales channels.

Vision and development

Not a separate project, but the next layer on top of the platform

Marketplace functionality builds on the catalog, stores, channels and operations merchants already use.

How it connects

Marketplace comes after the robust catalog

First, merchants set up shops and arrange their products. The channels are then expanded, and the marketplace layer uses the same foundation.

01

Store

The merchant starts with its own storefront, domain, design and checkout.

02

Catalogue

Products are centrally managed with categories, variants and content.

03

Channels

The same catalog can be used for feeds, ads and external platforms.

04

Marketplace

An additional channel for visibility, product discovery and new sales.

What will the marketplace give

  • more visibility and better product discovery
  • a new sales channel without separate catalog maintenance
  • a common ecosystem for brands, distributors and merchants
  • more value for each participant on the platform

For merchants

  • they don't start from scratch
  • use the same catalog
  • post in an additional channel
  • gain access to a larger audience
Important

We are talking about a direction of development, not a finished marketplace today

Current product builds the foundation: stores, catalog, channels and operations. The Marketplace layer is the next stage when this foundation is stable enough and useful for merchants.
